CHAMP 3d

Overview of Services

The CHAMP lab aims to meet the needs and innovate in the medical additive manufacturing and 3d printing space by offering engineering support to research work with a central focus on achieving PIGS (Paper, Intercultural Properties, Grants, and Services). The daily goal is to provide the services needed by the hospital. The longer term is to be a leader in medical additive manufacturing and 3d printing for the application of surgical planning, training/education, research, and devices.

  • Printing Services – Direct order 3d printing and AM option on various machines. The user would have files and need the part printed.
  • Engineering Design – Engineering design and computer modeling of devices, parts, model, or tools. Engineers will be able to take brainstorm and sketch to fabricate computer aid designs of proposed devices, parts, models, or tools. These can be used for printing, presenting, demoing, or for intellectual property needs.
  • Fabrication Service – A variety of engineering small-scale fabrication options from printing, mold-making, machining, and other light manufacturing. This can be in combination with design or as proscribe by requests for modifications.
